Jack Wright worked at 360 View for twelve years and is remembered by colleagues and customers alike for his unparalleled work ethic, responsiveness, and tenacious problem-solving.
After Wright passed away in 2025, Professional Services Director, Elyse Richmann devised a tangible remembrance and approached company President, David Acevedo who whole-heartedly embraced her idea. Together they worked to refine the parameters and establish 360 View’s Jack Wright Award, bestowed annually on an employee who “goes above and beyond, consistently exceeds expectations, demonstrates outstanding performance, arrives early, stays late, is eager to take on assignments without pause…and encourages a culture of excellence within the organization.”
“He gave our company heart,” says Acevedo. “It wasn't just a technician responding to you— it was Jack.”
360 View’s relational customer service is a strong distinguishing feature in today’s sea of AI agents where service is often delivered solely via chat. “We are a high-tech company, yes, but we are also a high touch company,” says Acevedo who takes pride in the fact that customers know their support and client relations team members. No one exemplified excellence in relational client service more than Jack Wright.
Known as a “master of puzzles” who loved the “almost unsolvable problem,” Wright was tenacious in pursuit of answers for clients. His workday knew no bounds, and whether it was very early, very late, or on a weekend, Wright was famous for his quick response time and thorough explanations. Wright’s personal touch and connection were evident in the wake of his passing recalls Director of Support, Andy VanCleve who spent an entire day answering the deluge of emails and calls from bereaved clients.
VanCleve, who worked closely with Wright, misses not just the outstanding professionalism of his colleague but also the warmth of his friend. Wright was an Eagle Scout, and the two reminisced about beautiful hikes from their childhoods in Tennessee. Born six months apart, they grew up in the same pop culture zeitgeist and shared a mutual love of zany 80’s comedies like Spaceballs. VanCleve recalls the day when Wright asked to pause while the Mack Truck in his driveway unloaded the Simpson’s pinball machine he’d bought on eBay. Jack Wright was both a consummate professional and a lot of fun.
The winner of the Jack Wright Award comes from a peer-to-peer nomination process, and appropriately, it was VanCleve who nominated the inaugural recipient—Sergei Temkin. He was nominated based on an ability to handle a massive workload while continuing to make himself available to assist peers, all while maintaining a friendly disposition. Richmann praises Temkin’s ability to think outside the box. “Jack didn't take no for an answer and Sergei is a lot like that too,” she says. Temkin, who began with 360 View as a college intern more than twenty years ago has been instrumental to the company’s development team and to its software architecture. He expressed how honored he was to receive the award at the company retreat this fall: “Jack was somebody who was really focused on helping people. He would bend over backwards for our customers and our employees… I was honored to be considered someone who exhibited similar traits.”
360 View’s commitment to its employees is evident in their lengthy tenure. In the software sector where turnover is common, it says a lot about a company’s culture when employs want to stay. The cash prize and peer recognition that accompany the Jack Wright Award are another token of the company’s commitment. Acevedo, believes that “if you treat your employees right, your employees will treat your customers right.” Jack Wright treated customers right. “We want to make sure that we have more Jack’s and Sergei’s at this company,” says Acevedo, and the Jack Wright Award is designed to ensure that Wright’s legacy of excellence endures.
He gave our company heart. It wasn't just a technician responding to you— it was Jack.
